Cost Share Programs

The South Big Horn Conservation districts offers multiple cost share programs to the citizens of South Big Horn County. The district offers incentives to implement farm, ranch and forestland conservation practices to protect soil productivity, water quality and quantity, air quality and wildlife habitat; which purify water and provide habitat for birds, fish and other animals; Protect groundwater resources; Assist communities and homeowners in planting trees and other land cover to hold soil in place, clean the air, provide cover for wildlife, and beautify neighborhoods

  • ALL GRANT REQUESTS MUST BE SUBMITTED BY AUGUST 15TH OF EACH YEAR. ANY REQUESTS AFTER THIS DATE WILL BE INCLUDED IN THE NEXT FUNDING ROUND

  • APPLICANTS WILL NEED TO FILL OUT AN APPLICATION FOR PROJECTS

  • ALL APPLICATIONS WILL GO THROUGH A RANKING PROCESS AND APPROVED BY THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS.

  • ANY PROJECTS THAT INCLUDE BLM AND STATE LANDS OF OFFICE AND INVESTMENTS WILL NEED TO HAVE LETTERS OF PERMISSION BEFORE SUBMITTING APPLICATIONS. 

  • ALL SMALL WATER PROJECTS WILL ALSO NEED TO HAVE A PRE-APPROVED ENGINEER DESIGN BEFORE APPLICATIONS WILL BE SUBMITTED TO WCCD
